NSF demands age relaxation for SI posts

JAMMU, Oct 24: National Secular Forum today slammed the BJP Government for its failure to come up to the expectations of educated unemployed youth of J&K.
Addressing a press conference, here today, NSF President Vikas Sharma strongly resented the ill conceived policy of Government to fix the upper age limit of 28 years for the post of Police Sub-Inspectors.
He snubbed those handling the employment process with anti youth tendency despite knowing that majority of youth have crossed age limit of 28 years partly due to prolonged Corona crisis and partly owing to apathy of Government to frequently provide adequate employment opportunities to youth. He demanded that the age limit should be suitably enhanced enabling many more deserving candidates to compete for the posts.
Referring to the media reports, Dr Vikas said that 93456 posts are vacant for non gazetted jobs and 27242 posts for gazetted jobs. He stressed that JK Government must take necessary steps to expedite the process of filling in these posts both in non gazetted and gazetted cadres on war footing.
