JAMMU, Apr 21: A deputation of NRHM Employees Welfare Association, Jammu, met Health and Medical Education Minister, Bali Bhagat and apprised him about the problems faced by them.
The deputation urged the Minister to take measures for framing up of regularisation policy for NRHM employees in a time bound manner.
The Minister was apprised about stagnation of incentives for Doctors since 2012, non-availability of incentives to Paramedics and programme management staff and only approx around 25% increase in salary for different categories of NRHM employees during last four years, which has lead to consequent decrease in purchasing capacity because of phenomenal increase in dearness and requested to give substantial hike in salary and incentives for 2016-17 commensurate with dearness and in consonance with 7th Pay Commission.
He was also apprised about the injustice meted out to NRHM employees of the State by not allowing them leave with salary so far. As demand for paid earned leave, maternity leave, medical leave etc was justified by providing the order copies of same, leave with salary, applicable to NRHM employees of other States across India, besides being a violation of fundamental human rights as well, was also brought to the notice of the Health Minister.
Minister assured the delegation that their demands would be looked into and appropriate action will be taken.
