JAMMU, Jan 15: The Northern Railways (NR) has announced the schedule for two additional special trains running between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra in Jammu and Kashmir and Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh to facilitate the movement of pilgrims for the upcoming Kumbh Mela.
Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr Jitendra Singh, shared the schedule via the micro-blogging platform X (formerly Twitter).
He confirmed that, after January 24, the second and third Kumbh special trains from Katra will depart on February 7 and February 14, respectively.
According to the Union Minister, train number 04601 will leave Katra station on February 7 and February 14, while the return train, number 04602, will depart from Prayagraj on February 8 and February 15, providing a convenient travel option for devotees heading to the Kumbh Mela.
