NPWS delegation calls on CS

SRINAGAR, Sept 24: A delegation of New People’s Welfare Society, (NPWS), Ganderbal called on Chief Secretary, Arun Kumar Mehta and submitted a representation on behalf of people of Batwina demanding that the Degree College Ganderbal for which site is being identified in the district be established in Batwina village where over 600 kanals Kahcharie land is available.
The delegation informed Chief Secretary that it can be an idle place either for Degree College or proposed Medical College in the district.
The delegation was led by Mir Ghulam Rasool Batwina chairman of the Society. The delegation while discussing the various issues of the area with CS informed him that it can be Central place for Manasbal and Sumba -Sonawari areas as well.
It said this land which is lying idle can be utilized for a good purpose by establishing proposed Medical or Degree College. The delegation expressed the hope that the Government will look into the issue and take appropriate steps in this regard.
