NPP’s communal harmony yatra reaches Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, Aug 30: Communal harmony yatra of  National Panthers Party which started from Jammu on Thursday reached here this evening.
The peace march of  the NPP led by its chief patron Prof  Bhim Singh was accorded good response by the people of Doda, Bhaderwah and Kishtwar. The yatra which had taken night halt at Batote after visiting Ramban, Chanderkote, Chenani and Udhampur yesterday, started its onward journey to Doda and Bhaderwah. The peace march was taken out in both the towns which was  attended a large number of NPP activists and other people from all the communities. At Doda, district president of the party Farooq Ahmed Dar received the yatra along with party activists and other people. Bhim Singh addressed a large rally there.
Senior party leaders including Prof Bhim Singh, Chairman Harshdev Singh (MLA),  Balwant Singh Mankotia (MLA), Yash Pal Kundal (MLA)  and others also addressed the gatherings. The Yatra then after passing through Prem Nagar and Thathri reached Kishtwar this evening. It got impressive public response en-route. The party leaders took out the peace march in the troubled town and appealed the people to maintain the  centuries old tradition of peace and brotherhood in the area.
