NPP only regional party of Jammu region: Mankotia

UDHAMPUR, Jan 4:  Urging upon the people to support and strengthen J&K National Panthers Party in its fight against differential and discriminatory treatment doled out to Jammu region, party president and former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia said that only a regional party could dispense justice to the people.
Addressing public meetings at  Sanasar, Landhar, Pancheri and Bhamag area in Udhampur as `Panchayat Chalo Abhiyan’ of  the party,  Mankotia  said that a local party alone can address  the regional and local issues of the people,  who had been cheated and betrayed several  times by national parties like BJP and Congress.
Claiming that  NPP had been fighting for the cause of  Dogras’ right from streets to Supreme Court, Mankotia said that Panthers crusade for Jammu cause shall continue till the due share of  Dogra land was restored to it with dignity and honour. He said  Panthers Party was well versed with the plight of the people which had vowed to regain the pride and honour of the Dogras at all costs.
During his four day tour, Mankotia constituted 12 Panchayat level committees. On January 1, he constituted committee in Sanasar followed by Lander, Pancheri and Bhamaag on January 2, 3 and 4, respectively.
In its 2017 resolution, the Panthers Party has decided to constitute 11-member Panchayat committees to strengthen the Party at grass-root level.
Mankotia said 13 Panchayats of Bhamaag area of Udhampur district fall under Reasi Assembly constituency due to which the areas is not being given due attention for development. He demanded that either the Panchayats be included in Udhampur constituency or the Lander, Bhamaag and Panceri be declared as separate Assembly constituency.
