UDHAMPUR, Sept 11: After being elected as State president for another term, former MLA  Balwant Singh Mankotia claimed that NPP will launch decisive agitation for separate Jammu State to its logical conclusion.
He blamed that successive regimes in the  State have deliberately discriminated the people of Jammu region in every sphere and only utilized their mandate for coming to power.
Newly elected president for another consecutive term, Mankotia received a warm welcome at party office Udhampur by the party activists. Dancing on the tune of drums, NPP workers garlanded the newly elected party president  and gave a rousing reception at his home town.
NPP president while addressing the activists at party office whole heartedly thanked them for re-imposing faith in him as State president. He disclosed that party would launch full fledged agitation for separate Jammu State very soon after chalking out a well planned strategy.  He said that before election, he has toured from Kathua to Banihal and Kishtwar to Poonch and came to know the pulse of people on separate Jammu and people of the region have assured support for the movement.
Mankotia pointed out that people of the Jammu region are fed up with the present Coalition Government as this Govt too  have failed to end discrimination, unemployment, ensure holistic development of  sub regions and sufferings of the people of region have increased manifold. People gave thumping majority to BJP during Assembly elections but saffron party has failed to fulfill the aspirations of the people and party has become B-team of the coalition partner PDP, Mankotia regretted.
He reiterated that separate Jammu State is the only option to end discrimination with Jammu region and after achieving separate State, people will get justice which was denied by the successive regimes in State since 1947. Mankotia said with the support of party activists and general masses, party would launch full fledged  agitation in Jammu region for separate statehood.
