NPP holds protest against PHE Deptt

UDHAMPUR, Feb 11: Agitating against the improper water supply in Udhampur city and surrounding villages, Panthers Party activists under the leadership of NPP President and Former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia protest here today.
While leading a protest rally against PHE Department, Mankotia informed that PHE Department has completely failed to improve water supply. He said that the awareness campaign highlighting three main issues including improper water supply was led during last month under which a rally was marched towards DC office and ended with an assurance of early redressal of the problems within the time span of 10 days but the department has failed to fulfill its promise for which there is deep anguish among the people.
Expressing anguish over the failure of PHE officers, Mankotia said that the people of Udhampur city and surrounding villages are facing many problems due to water scarcity from the last 3 years and when the department is being enquired over it, their officers do procrastination.
He blamed that the officials of PHE Department for turning blind eye over the scarcity of water. He said that they will never tolerate the casual approach of PHE Department.
Mankotia warned the administration and PHE Department if the genuine water supply problem will not be addressed soon they will forced to agitate more strongly.
Councillors, Sarpanchs, Panchs, senior leaders including scores of party activists and women wing also accompanied Mankotia.
