JAMMU, Apr 17: National Panthers Party (NPP), Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha and residents of Budhi, Barnoti and its adjoining villages demanded CBI probe in the Rasana rape and murder case.
NPP activists held protest at Exhibition Ground, here demanding CBI probe in the 8-year-old Rasana rape and murder victim.
The protest was led by Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP, Balwant Singh State President JKNPP and Yash Paul Kundal State President Young Panthers.
A meeting of executive committee members of Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha J&K was held under the chairmanship of Narayan Singh President of the Sabha.
All the executive committee members were of the opinion that the culprits involved in this serious case should be identified and must be hanged.
“The residents of Jammu Province especially the villagers of Rasana were demanding CBI probe in this case and justice can only be possible in case the CBI probe is conducted”, they said, adding that Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha vehemently demands CBI probe in this murder case.
Meanwhile, the residents of Budhi, Barnoti and its adjoining villages held protest against the Government and demanded the CBI enquiry in the Rasana rape and murder case.
The shopkeepers closed down their business establishments and joined the protest.
While addressing the gathering, Roshan Lal said that a conspiracy was hatched to dominate the Hindu community and disturb the peace and harmony between Hindu Muslim. On behalf of protestors, he demanded CBI probe in the incident so that truth prevails.
Among others present were Niku, Manjit Singh, Kartar Chand, Parkash Chand, Balbir Singh and Romesh Kumar.
