KUMBH NAGAR, ALLAHABAD, Jan 18:
Maha Kumbh, one of the world’s biggest religious affair, has become a matter of research for media students.
Kumbh, which so far only reflected the rich Indian culture, is being studied and researched by the youngsters. The students of the Centre of Media Studies of Allahabad university are collecting minor details about the ongoing Maha Kumbh mela in Allahabad.
Not only this, the management gurus have arrived here to study the Kumbh, its past and religious relevance.
The students involved in research work would also prepare a documentary, Institute of Professional Studies (IPS) Director G K Rai said here today.
A website in the name of Prayag Kumbh has also been prepared that would provide each and every detail about the religious event, he apprised.
The congregation of crores of devotees, including the foreign worshippers, without any invitation is surprising in itself and adds on to the importance of Kumbh, Mr Rai stated.
The media students would also click snaps, prepare photography and collect documents under the research work, the IPS Director added.
A total of 10 crore people are expected to reach Maha Kumbh from across the world this year.
Allahabad Divisional Commissioner Devesh Chaturvedi said organising such a big affair was very challenging. “It is like conducting peaceful elections,” he noted.
The management experts of prestigious institutions have a word in the arrangements of Kumbh.
CCTVs cameras are fixed after specified distance and information about the missing people is being provided on big screens, Mr Chaturvedi stated.
No less than 25,000 tonne food is being sent on the mela site each day.
Official sources said a team of Haward University is also conducting research here.
Kumbh has become one of the biggest ‘temporary’ districts of UP during this event that comes after every 12 years. (UNI)
