JAMMU, Sept 3: Bishnah Police arrested a notorious thief and recovered stolen scooty from his possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a person namely Sourav Gupta, son of Ashwani Gupta of Ward Number 2 Bishnah with Police Station Bishnah regarding theft of his scooty bearing Registration Number JK02CD-4642.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 147/2022 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma was constituted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and SP Headquarters Ramnish Gupta.
The team put in hectic efforts and after taking technical assistance finally nabbed the thief, who was identified as Rohit Singh alias Shallu, son of Padamdev Singh of Garota Mandi, Gurha Salathia Tehsil Vijaypur District Samba.
On his disclosure the stolen scooty has been recovered.
It is pertinent to mention that the accused was a notorious thief and various cases stands registered against him.
Further investigation is going on so that the backward and forward link may also be exposed accordingly.
