JAMMU, July 29: A notorious drug peddler has been booked under Prevention of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic substances (PITNDPS) Act.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and SP Headquarters Jammu Ramnish Gupta apprehended a notorious drug peddler, who was identified as Tajinder Singh alias Happy, son of Mohinder Singh of Ward Number 4 Simbal Camp, Miran Sahib District Jammu.
The detention warrant under Prevention of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances (PITNDPS) Act 1998 was issued against him by Divisional Commissioner Jammu in order to prevent him from further criminal activities.
The accused is a hardcore criminal and involved in number of criminal cases including narcotic cases.
The warrant was executed today and accused has been lodged in Central Jail at Kot Bhalwal District Jammu.
