JAMMU, July 3: In continuation to Operation Sanjeevani launched by Jammu Police, today Gandhi Nagar Police achieved success, when a notorious drug peddler was arrested and 20 grams heroin recovered from his possession.
Gandhi Nagar police laid a naka at Shamshan Ghat chowk, Shastri Nagar, Jammu. Police party intercepted one Motor Cycle(Yamaha) without registration number for police check. During personal search of rider, police party recovered 20 grams heroin like substance from his possession. In this connection a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at police station Gandhi Nagar and further investigation of the case is going on. The accused person and the motor cycle have been taken into police custody.
The arrest and recovery was made by the team headed by Inspector Ritesh Samyal SHO P/S Gandhi Nagar and SI PawanDogra I/C PP Digiana under the supervision of SDPO City South and SP City South Jammu Sandeep Choudhary.
