JAMMU, Aug 28: Talab Tillo police under “Operation Sanjeevani” arrested a notorious drug peddler along with ganja.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Talab Tillo police post laid a naka and apprehended a drug peddler along with 900 grams ganja.
The accused has been identified as Shanker Lal Nishad, son of Chaitram Nishad, a resident of Chattisgarh, at present Poonch House, Talab Tillo.
The narcotic drug was meant to be sold among the youth, but with the arrest of drug peddler, police achieved a major success to save the youth from becoming drug addicts.
A case under FIR Number 119/17 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at police station Nowabad and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Talab Tillo police post SI Sumeet Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Nowabad Inspector Neeraj Bhagat, SDPO West Pranav Mahajan and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
