JAMMU, July 14: A notorious criminal was arrested along with a sharp-edged weapon by Police in RS Pura area here today.
A police spokesperson said that a team of RS Pura Police Station led by SDPO RS Pura Nikhil Gogna assisted by SHO RS Pura Inspector Pawan Kumar and ASI Jang Bahadur while on naka duty at GB Resort, near Canal, Khana Chak, received an information regarding a notorious criminal coming in a vehicle.
On this, the police teams stopped the vehicle and during search, a sharp-edged weapon was recovered from the accused occupant of the vehicle later identified as Sandeep Kumar alias Chotu of Chak Askam, RS Pura.
He has been arrested and booked in case FIR number 102/2023 under Section 4/25 Arms Act registered at Police Station RS Pura and further investigation taken up.
