JAMMU, July 9: Police booked a notorious criminal under Public Safety Act (PSA).
As per police sources, Jammu Police in RS Pura arrested a notorious criminal Harvinder Singh alias Janu, son of Tarvinder Singh, resident of RS Pura town.
Harvinder was wanted in many grave FIRs in Jammu district in recent past.
It is pertinent to mention that recently Harvinder Singh had attacked the witnesses of a case in Akhnoor in which he was arrested and bailed out.
Harvinder was involved in many criminal activities like supari attacks, attempt to murder, theft etc.
He was also in the process of threatening the business community of the town.
Keeping his notorious activities and as a preventive measure Jammu Police have booked him under PSA.
The dossier for detention of the criminal under PSA was prepared by SHO RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Ahmed, SP Headquarters Jammu Aadil Hamid and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
