JAMMU, Nov 24: A notorious criminal was booked under the stringent Public Safety Act in Akhnoor area here today.
A police spokesperson said one Roshan Lal alias Rosha of Nawa Khoo, Sohal, Tehsil Akhnoor, District Jammu, was evading his arrest in multiple cases registered at Police Station Akhnoor.
On getting information about the accused, he said, a team of police officers led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Sharma and SHO Akhnoor Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq raided a suspected place in Akhnoor and arrested the accused.
According to the police spokesperson, a warrant under the PSA against the accused was issued by the District Magistrate Jammu after receiving a dossier from District Police.
Accordingly, after executing the arrest warrant, the accused was sent to Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu, he added.
