JAMMU, July 20: A notorious criminal was arrested under the Public Safety Act (PSA) in RS Pura town today.
A police spokesperson said that an information was received through reliable sources about presence of one Paramjeet @Jungi of Dravtey, Tehsil RS Pura, Jammu, who was wanted in multiple cases including attempt to murder, stabbing, snatching, Arms Act, kidnapping etc.
On this, he said, special police teams led by SDPO RS Pura Nikhil Gogna assisted by SHO RS Pura Inspector Pawan Kumar raided the suspected place and rounded up the accused person.
Pertinently, a warrant of arrest was earlier issued against the accused which got executed today with the arrest and shifting of the accused to Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
