REASI, Apr 11: Reasi Police has nabbed a notorious criminal who was evading arrest for the last three years in two criminal cases, including an attempt to murder on Policemen on duty.
The arrested accused, namely Murrid, son of Mohd Mussa of Kalyanpur (Marh) Jammu, was evading arrest in case FIR no 218/18 U/s 364, 323, 382, 188, 147 RPC and FIR no 01/19 U/s 307, 353, 34 RPC of Police Station Reasi.
He was wanted in case of attempt to murder on Policemen on duty. Police was chasing the accused and he was changing his hideouts for the last three years to escape legal proceedings against him.
Four cases of attempt on life, one for theft, have been lodged against Murrid along with more than ten members of his gang for criminal activities in Police Stations of Reasi & Domana-Jammu. Murrid, a History Sheeter of Police Station Kanachak, is facing eight FIRs lodged against him in districts of Reasi and Jammu.
Reasi police is also on the hunt to arrest two more wanted in the case.
