SRINAGAR, Sept 18: Peeved at not invited to the inauguration function of 10 MGD Sukhnag Water Supply Scheme in his constituency today, MLA Khansahab Hakeem Mohammad Yasin has sent a protest letter to Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed complaining that “protocol of an elected public representative was breached”.
“Yes, I wrote a protest letter to Chief Minister after I was not invited to an official function of the inauguration of Sukhnag Water Supply Scheme,” Yasin said, adding “as the concerned MLA I should have been there as per the protocol.”
He said the foundation stone of the water supply scheme was laid during previous Government by the then Minister Taj Mohi-ud-Din in his presence. “Today’s inauguration function was all out PDP show. There were mostly PDP MLAs, MLCs, and defeated candidates. So it was more a party function than an official function,” MLA Khansahab added.
Besides, CM, Minister for Revenue, Javaid Mustafa Mir, Minister for PHE, I&FC, Sukhnandan Kumar, Minister for Public Works, Floriculture, Gardens & Parks, Syed Altaf Bukhari and Minister for Agriculture Production, Ghulam Nabi Lone, were present on the occasion.  (KNS)
