SRINAGAR, May 23: Northern Railways has decided to run special trains to the Valley to ease the rush of passengers during summer.
The special trains, numbered 04614/ 04611 & 04612/04613 will chug on Baramulla – Budgam – Banihal section. 04614/04611 Baramulla-Banihal special train will run for six days except Sundays.
The 04614 Baramulla -Banihal special train with six boogies will depart from Baramulla at 12:00 noon from June 2 to June 30 (25 Trips) to reach Banihal at 03:05 pm on the same day. While returning back, it will depart from Banihal at 08:10 am to reach Baramulla at 11.45 am on the same day.
It will make halts at Sopore, Hamre, Pattan, Mazhom, Budgam, Srinagar, Pampore, Kakapora, Awantipura, Panjgam, Bijbehara, Anantnag, Sadura, Qazigund and Hillar Shahbad.
04612/ 04613 Budgam-Banihal special train will also run for six days in a week except on Sundays.
The 04612 Budgam – Banihal special train, also with six boogies, will depart from Budgam at06:05 am from June 2 to June 30 (25 Trips) to reach Banihal at 07:55 am on the same day. While traversing back, 04613 Banihal- Budgam special train will depart from Banihal at 03:20 pm to reach Budgam at 05:15 pm on the same day.
It will make halts at Srinagar, Pampore Kakapora, Awantipura, Panjgam, Bijbiara, Islamabad, Sadura, Qazigund & Hillar Shahbad.
