Non camp people discuss demands

JAMMU, Oct 25: All Displaced KP Non Camp Welfare Union in its meeting today decided to extend its full support to relief holders of Jagti who are protesting for the enhancement of cash relief and redressal of other problems of displaced Pandits.
Addressing the meeting D N Kissu appealed the entire members of displaced Pandit community and its leaders to join hands for common cause as the escalating prices of all the essential commodities has made the survival of the people totally dependent on cash relief very difficult.
He urged the Government to concede the demand of relief holders without any further delay.
The meeting also demanded medical aid to needy patients, one time package of Rs 25 lakh to overaged and educated youth so that they can generate their own source of income.
The meeting also demanded construction of a satellite township in Kashmir valley for rehabilitation of displaced people.
