Nomads protest against traffic police

UDHAMPUR, May 21: Nomadic people today held a protest against traffic police at Jakhani Chowk.
Alleging that traffic cops seek illegal gratification from them in lieu of sending them to Kashmir, some nomads held a protest at Jakhani Chowk. During the protest, an old woman from the nomadic community also clashed with a traffic cop and even slapped him.
Due to protest, the vehicular traffic was disrupted for some time at Jakhani Chowk. The protesting nomads were demanding action against traffic police for harassing them every now and then.
