Nobody cares for rights of OBCs in J&K: AIBCU

Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Nov 13: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU), Social has alleged that no body is bothered about the rights of Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in the Jammu and Kashmir.
In a meeting of the Union held here today under the chairmanship of Kali Dass (gen secy), the members discussed the matter regarding the OBCs who were earlier called OSCs by the previous Governments of Cong, NC and PDP. They allegedly ignored their rights on the name of special status under Art 370 and never implemented the judgment of the Apex Court’s on Mandal Report of 1992.
They alleged that after the abrogation of Art 370  and converting the state into UT, OBCs were expecting their due share but till date only assurances are being given since August 5, 2019.
Former Governor Satya Pal Malik  started giving assurances through advertisements, but the OBCs are now feeling cheated. The date fixed for the implementation of new UT State was the   October 31, the new Lt Governor has taken over but till today nothing has happened.  The so called OBC leaders working in different political parties must open their eyes otherwise, these (obc) leaders have to justify their stay in such political parties.
