‘No technical problem in implementing Mandal report in J&K’

JAMMU, June 29: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) has claimed that there was no technical problem in implementing Mandal report in J&K after the abrogation of Article 370.
In a meeting here today held under the chairmanship of AIBCU president, Abdul Majid Malik the speakers claimed inefficiency of Government, bureaucrats and J&K Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Commission for not deciding the fate of OBCs in J&K while 10 per cent reservation was granted to Economically Weaker Sections among general categories for whom there was even no Commission.
“Now it is once again appealed to the J&K and Union Governments to conclude the process of implementing Mandal report in J&K at the earliest as Article 370 has already been abrogated,” they said.
M.R Bangotra, Keeal Krishan Fotra, Darbari Lal Prajapati, Gurmeet Singh, Raj Kumar, Prof Kali Dass and others were also present in the meeting.
The meeting of AIBCU was held in the wake of a notification by the Commission asking recognized and un-recognised political parties to send their views in black and white or meet the Commission in its office at Srinagar regarding issues of OBCs.
