NEW DELHI : In the back drop of demonstrations and protests by BJP workers against allotment of the party tickets, Home Minister Rajnath Singh today asserted that the ruling party is all united to face the Delhi Assembly polls on February 7.
There is no crisis in the BJP and the party is united to face the poll, Mr Singh said in his brief comments to the media here.
“We are all set to contest the Delhi Assembly polls as one and a united entity”, the two-time party chief said. Demonstrations and public statements by party ranks and files were made against the allotment of the party tickets and also against projection of newly inducted Ms Kiran Bedi as the party’s Chief Ministerial candidate during the past couple of days in the capital here.
While supporters of BJP state president Satish Upadhyay had held demonstration against denial of ticket to him, a number of leaders, including party MP Manoj Tiwari, senior leader Jagdish Mukhi, had raised voices against Ms Bedi’s projection.
