No proof from Pak against India: US

WASHINGTON, July 2:
United States Foreign Department has denied receiving any evidence from Pakistan related to India’s involvement in terrorism.
Earlier, Pakistan Secretary Ajaz Ahmed Chaudhary during his visit to Washington, claimed that Pakistan has evidence of India’s link with militants groups operating on their land.
When asked whether Pakistan has handed over any evidence to US of India’s link with terrorist organizations, US Foreign Department spokesperson John Kirby said he was not apprised of any such report.
However, Mr Kirby also restrained himself from commenting on India’s stance that Pakistan is supporting terrorism on Indian soil.
He appealed to both the countries to discuss contentious issues bilaterally.
Mr Kirby said during a visit to Washington on June 29, Indian Foreign Secretary Subramanyam Jaishankar met US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken at the State Department and discussions held between them on a wide range of bilateral issues, including counter-terrorism, climate/clean energy, strengthening US-India business ties, and regional connectivity..
Mr Jaishankar also met US national security advisor Susen Rice at White House this week. Both discussed road map to implement the decisons taken by Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi and US President Barack Obama during the two summits. (UNI)
