JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Feb 8: In a healthy sign, nine districts in Jammu region didn’t report any Corona positive cases today while seven new cases were recorded in Jammu district as against 11 persons who recovered from the virus.
Jammu district reported seven positive cases and an equal number of recoveries while four recoveries were reported in Samba district.
Except Jammu, no other district in the region reported any COVID positive case today. Rajouri and Kishtwar districts have just one each Corona active positive case now.
Jammu region has a total of 51657 cases. Among them, 109 are active positives while 50826 have recovered from the virus. There have been 722 casualties.
Meanwhile, 36 people tested positive in Kashmir for COVID-19 today.
Those who tested positive include 20 from Srinagar, one Baramulla, two Budgam, five Pulwama, 4 Anantnag, 3 Ganderbal, one Kulgam and two from Shopian.
With the fresh cases, the number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 73,295 including 71,589 recoveries and 1,222 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 593 including 484 from Kashmir division.
With 80 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 122,415 which is 97.97 percent of the total cases.
