Srinagar, Oct 8: Government today said that there is no requirement for issuance of Dogra Certificate as it was being used to seek relaxation during the recruitment in the Central Armed Forces and Assam Rifles.
The Minister for Revenue in its written reply to a question of MLA Dr D M Manyal, in the Legislative Assembly said that there is no need for Dogra certificate.
“The only objective of the Dogra certificate was to seek relaxation in the physical standards for recruitment in the Central Armed Para-Military Forces and Assam Rifles. However, the Ministry of Home Affairs has now relaxed the norms of the physical standards for all the permanent residents of State of Jammu and Kashmir for recruitment in the Central Armed Para-Military Forces and Assam Rifles”, said Minister.
He said that this has already been communicated by the Ministry of Home Affairs to all recruiting agencies. “Therefore there is no requirement for issuing Dogra Certificate”, he said.
