JAMMU, Oct 19: No DPC meeting has been conducted by the Animal Husbandry Department for the last about six years in Jammu division.
The employees of the department who are facing stagnation for the last many years told the Excelsior that they approached the Director Animal Husbandry Jammu, Principal Secretary to Govt Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department and even the Advisor concerned, but the authorities concerned have failed to conduct DPC meeting even after clear directions from the Administrative Department.
Members of Animal Husbandry Employees Association, Jammu Division further appointed out that during last 28 years, only five DPC meets have been conducted in Jammu province while in Kashmir forty (40) such meets have been conducted during this period. The highly discriminatory attitude of the authorities at the helm of affairs against Jammu employees, has caused much damage to the career prospects of the employees of the department in Jammu region. They said as per norms, the department must conduct two DPC meets every year but no body bothers about it and even the Administrative department is sleeping over the matter.
They said many posts are lying vacant in the department and junior employees have been made in-charge to run the Centres. Junior Veterinary staff is made to work on higher posts in own pay and grade, without any monetary benefit. They also demanded grant of charge allowance, issuance of APRs of Veterinary Pharmacists and filling up of the posts of Non-Gazetted field staff lying vacant in the department.
