‘No confidence motion’ against DGPC president withdrawn

JAMMU, Dec 26: The District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC) Jammu has with drawn `no confidence motion’ against its president, Jagjit Singh.
An emergency meeting of the DGPC Jammu was held today in its office in the premises of Gurdwara Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Chand Nagar, Jammu, under the chairmanship of S Tarlochan Singh Wazir, chairman J&K UT Gurdwara Parbandhak Board.
After long and serious discussion on this issue and in the interest of Sikh community, it was unanimously resolved by the District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Jammu to withdraw the ” No confidence motion” against S. Jagjit Singh, president DGPC Jammu. Later, the copy of resolution was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu.
Later, a meeting of the DGPC members was held with the District Administration with regard to the arrangements for the `Nagar- Kirtan’ on December 30, 2019 and celebrtations of Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on January 2, 2020. They also appealed the entire Sikh community and general public to participate in `Nagar Kirtan’ in large number.
The meeting was attended by .Jagjit Singh president DGPC, Jammu, Kuldeep Singh vice president, Fateh Singh general secretary, Mohinder Singh joint secretary, Avtar Singh Khalsa- member, Ramnik Singh- member, Jathedar Mohinder Singh- member, Manmohan Singh Khalsa- member, Surinder Singh senior advocate, Balwant Singh (Ex- Sarpanch).
