NMCT distributes 20 scholarships

JAMMU, Oct 22: Nirmal Mahajan Charitable Trust (NMCT) distributed scholarship among 20 students of various schools.
These students included—Sureshta Devi and Anikhe Devi of Louis Brail Memorial Sightless School, Roop Nagar; Chetna and Rohit Thakur of Deaf and Dumb School, Suraj Kumar, Vivek, Rahul Mandal and Deepu of Naveen Shiksha Kendar Channi; Amit Kumar, Mansi Devi and Sparsika of Arya Kanya Girl High School, Kachi Chawni; Aditya and Nikhil of Arya Kanya Vidyalya Purani Mandi; Ravi Kumar and Nisha of Govt Middle School Railway Colony; Renuka Sharma of Cooperative Public School; Sonal Devi and Monika Devi of Balika Niketan; Swan and Gotam Singh of Bal Niketan School Ved Mandir Amphalla.
A handout stated that most of these students were either orphans, militancy affected or from BPL families.
In a meeting here today of the Trust chaired by its president Nirmal Mahajan various issues of the organisation were discussed.
The Trust decided to donate Rs 10,000 to Nar Sewa Narayan Sewa Sansthan for the operation of two persons every year.
It was further decided to donate three quintal rice to the poor and needy persons.
