NMC urges PM to constitute National Wage Commission

JAMMU, Jan 3: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today urged upon the Prime Minister to constitute National Wage Commission to assess and formulate policies for revision of wage structure in respect of working class throughout the country.
Addressing a rally of NMC activists, Subhash Shastri, NMC president, said that those who are presently expressing sympathy with working class had ample chances to ameliorate their suffering during the periods they clung to power. “The need of the hour is the constitution of the wage commission and in this respect favourable vibes and expressions are coming from Prime Minister.” he said adding the issue has not been revisited for more than past two decades.
However, adding a word of caution regarding non-issuance of notification regarding the 7th Pay Commission report, Shastri expressed hope that PM will remove any confusion and ambiguity regarding the same and the PDP-BJP coalition Government in the State will take steps to implement recommendations of the 7th PC in toto.
