NMC appeals to PM for regularization of daily rated workers

Excelsior Correspondent  JAMMU, Feb 1: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) president Subash Shastri today appealed the Prime Minister to intervene into the matter of regularization of 62,000 daily rated workers in Jammu and Kashmir. He said this while addressing a rally of NMC activist here today. Shastri stated that the State BJP had assured support to the regularization demand of daily rated workers. “Daily rated workers are having high hopes from Prime Minister and Governor of J&K that they will consider the demand of regularization of daily rated workers and take a favorable action soon”, he added. He appealed to the Governor to release two pending installment of 17 per cent DA at the earliest as another installment of 6 per cent DA has also got due from January 2015. Shastri said that the early release of pending DA will strengthen the bonds between the employees and the State Government, adding that delay in such matter is not in the interest of State exchequer. He also demanded issuance of regularization order of 180 daily wagers working in RDD, release of pending wages of daily wagers, creation of special heads, release of pending salary and regularization of motivators working in IWDP-Phase II, enhancement in medical allowance to Rs 1,000 per month, enforcement of CP Fund Deduction Scheme to all State Government departments. Among others present were Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochhar, Sham Lal Sharma, Surinder Kumar, Bhupinder Singh, Sudesh Bhagat, Paramjit, Barkat Ram, Karnail Singh, Pawan Sharma, etc.
