NMC appeals Govt to release DA, Pay Commission arrears

JAMMU, June 9: Stressing on the need for immediate release of pending installment of 10 percent Dearness Allowance due from January last, 4th installment of the 6th Pay Commission arrears and enhancing of the Medical Allowance of their employees to Rs 1000 per month, president National Mazdoor Conference, Subash Shastri today appealed the Chief Minister to announce these incentives in favour of the employees and the pensioners in the next Cabinet Meeting to help salaried class and pensioners get relief in view of the increasing prices of essential commodities and inflation.
Addressing a well attended rally of NMC workers at Brahmin Sabha here, Mr Shastri stated that in view of the inbuilt provisions in the current year State Annual Budget, there should not be any hitch for the State Government in releasing these incentives, adding that an early decision in this regard would be genuine measure to provide some relief to the employees.
Expressing concern over the continuance of Pay anomalies of clerical cadre of the State Government, Shastri urged the Omar Abdullah led Government to remove the same at an earliest.
