NITI Aayog CEO BVR gets extension

JAMMU, Feb 18: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India, has extended the tenure of NITI Aayog Chief Executive Officer (CEO), BVR Subrahmanyam, for another year.

“The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved extension in tenure of BVR Subrahmanyam, IAS (CG:87) (Retd) as Chief Executive Officer, NITI Aayog for a period of one year beyond February 24, 2025 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, on existing terms and conditions,” read an order issued by Manish Saxena, Secretary, Appointments Committee of Cabinet & Establishment Officer.
Subrahmanyam, who previously served as the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, has been instrumental in policy planning at the premier think tank.
