NISHTHA training concludes under Samagra

JAMMU, Nov 18: Five -day mega teachers’ training programme-NISHTHA was successfully concluded under Samagra Shiksha, Department of School Education.
The trainings were conducted by National Resource Group represented by expert faculty from NCERT. During the 5-day programme, various interactive and technical sessions were conducted by the Resource Persons. The programme was conducted under the overall supervision and mentorship of Commissioner/Secretary School Education, Sarita Chauhan. The core objective of this training programme was to focus on Learning Outcomes and Pedagogical Tools.
The valedictory ceremony was chaired by Anuradha Gupta-Director School Jammu; Dr Arun Manhas, State Project Director Samagra Shiksha; J K Sudan, Principal SIE, State Coordinator-NISHTHA and other dignitaries of NCERT.
Sarita Chauhan, Commissioner/ Secretary School Education, in her message, recommended the Teachers to carry forward trainings at the ground level with zeal and fervor. She also asked SPD Samagra Shiksha and both the Directors of School Education to coordinate well for successful outreach of this programme so that all the 86,000 teachers of State must be trained under NISHTHA model.
In his closing remarks, Dr Arun Manhas lauded the whole team of NISTHA for successful completion of first phase of this programme. He advised the participants to remain in constant contact with their respective mentors for any future guidance and endeavors.
DSEJ Anuradha Gupta also addressed the gathering and reiterated to replicate the acquired skills and knowledge-bank to other teachers of their respective districts in an organized manner. She said that district wise schedules are being prepared and the same must be followed by these KRPs and SRPs-L in phased manner.
295 Key Resource Persons and 59 SRPs-L were trained during the programme who shall further impart the trainings in their respective districts on cascade mode. The progarmme was conducted at Jammu University campus . Five different groups were constituted for these trainings based upon different subjects.
The key experts who delivered the sessions; were Prof A K Rajput (J&K Convener-NISHTHA), Dr C V Shimray, Dr Ashwani Garg, Prof Usha Sharma, Prof Padma Yadav, Prof Saroj Yadav and Dr Ram Babu Pareek and other senior faculty from NCERT.
