PULWAMA, June 27: The first ever election of Pulwama Journalists Federation (PJF) was held here today in which 24 Journalists working with different organizations participated.
During election, senior Journalist Nisar Aalie was elected as Federation president while as Jahangeer Ahmad Ganaie was elected as vice president.
Mudasir Maqbool was elected as secretary, Syed Aadil Mushtaq as spokesperson and Mir Zeeshan as treasurer.
After winning the election Nisar Aalie said that he will take up the issues related to Journalists with concerned officials and ensure that they are resolved at an earliest.
All PJF members assured their complete support to the newly elected office bearers.
PJF vice-president Jahangeer Ganaie requested the general public of Pulwama to contact PJF members to highlight their genuine grievances.
Spokesperson, Syed Aadil said that PJF members must work as per ethics of journalism.
Gazi Khursheed, Younis Khaliq, Malik Nisar, Bilal Habib, Asif Ganaie, Skinder Gulzar, Aijaz Rasheed, Qaiser Mir, Burhan Mir, Mudasir Manzoor, Yawar Ahmad, Reshi Irshad, Sartaj Altaf, Aamir Ayoub, Shakir Malik, Owais Ahmad, Irshad Ahmad and Aaqib Ahmad were also present during the election.
