JAMMU, July 25: Former athlete and Physical Education lecturer Nirmal Singh has become the first from Jammu & Kashmir to be nominated as a Technical Official for the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze, to be held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, from August 10, 2025.
Posted at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bishnah, Singh is a decorated athlete and official, having represented J&K at numerous national and international events. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Rangil Singh Sports Award and the Parshuram Award. His nomination marks a proud milestone for the Department of Youth Services and Sports and the Union Territory.
