JAMMU, Feb 17: Jammu police today seized 9 different vehicles involved in illegal mining.
The teams of police stations Nagrota, Arnia, Domana and Miran Sahib, and police post Chatha acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized 9 different vehicles involved in illegal mining.
While a tractor trolley bearing Chasis number 06009278J13 was seized by Nagrota police, 2 tractor trolleys without registration numbers were seized by police station Arnia and 3 tractor trolleys without registration numbers by police station Domana.
Further, 2 vehicles (1 dumper bearing registration number JK03L-5725 and one excavator number PUNJD21ALM3032804) was seized by police station Miran Sahib and one tractor without registration number was seized by police post Chatha.
The seizure were made by SHO police station Nagrota Inspector Vishav Pratap Singh, SHO police station Arnia Inspector Tilak Raj Sharma, SHO police station Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SHO police station Miran Sahib Inspector Sultan Mirza and Incharge police post Chatha SI Ranjit Singh in their respective jurisdictions.
DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same. The mining was done in violation of the order of High Court of J&K.
