JAMMU, Feb 17: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader, Baldev Singh Billawaria kick-started the construction of lane, drains, gratings and other development works at Old Gangyal area of Gandhi Nagar constituency today. These works are being constructed under the supervision of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria said that during the tenure of Congress and its allies in Jammu and Kashmir discrimination was done in the name of development and if an area belonged to BJP or nationalists supporters that area was denied development. He said “We have never developed any area on the basis of caste or religion, we have given benefits of schemes to the common people regardless of their religion and caste”.
He said that today if people are being provided free vaccines or free ration there is no religion or caste being asked and its benefit is being given to every common man. He said that the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is working on the basic mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’. Billawaria said that BJP is the only party which is working to connect the poor, backward, downtrodden and oppressed classes with the mainstream.
He said that now Ward 56 has almost become a Model Ward with the cooperation of the general public, officers-employees of JMC and media. He said that the residents of Gangyal and Ekta Vihar are now disposing of dry and wet waste in different ways and putting them in Autos. He said that the most important thing is that Ward 56 Gangyal is the first such ward in Jammu city in which hundred percent dustbins have been made free of garbage along with door to door collection. He said that Gangyal Ward is the first such Ward in Jammu city in which all the houses have been numbered and complaints are being registered on the basis of this number.
He said that many development works have been done in the Gangyal area, whether it is the construction of small and big drains and repair of roads to laying black topping and every work from the electricity system was done in a better way. Sunil Sharma, Rashpal Verma, Sunny Sharma, Yash Raj, Ajay Sharma, Suresh Mishra, Om Nath, Manhor Lal, Pritivi Raj were present on this occasion.
