Srinagar, Mar 6 : Amid forecast for mainly dry weather, the minimum temperatures recorded a drop at most places in Kashmir today with day temperatures rising.
Srinagar recorded a low of 3.5°C against 7.4°C on the previous night and it was above normal by 1.3°C for the city with maximum temperature settling at 20.1 °C.
Qazigund recorded a low of 2.0°C against 6.5°C the previous night and it was 1.1°C above normal for the town. The maximum temperature for the town settled at 18.5°C.
Pahalgam recorded a low of minus 2.0°C against 1.2°C the previous night and it was 0.3°C above normal for the tourist resort. The maximum temperature for the resort settled at 15.6°C.
Kokernag recorded a low of 3.1°C against 4.7°C the previous night and it was 2.2°C above normal for the place. The maximum temperature for the town settled at 16.8°C.
Gulmarg recorded a low of minus 1.6°C against minus 1.8°C the previous night and it was 2.9°C above normal for the skiing resort. The ski resort recorded maximum temperature of 7.4°C.
In Kupwara town, the mercury settled at 1.1°C against 3.6°C the previous night and it was 0.1°C above normal for the town. The maximum temperature for the border town settled at 18.6°C.
Leh and Kargil recorded a low of minus 6.6°C and minus 3.6°C respectively.
A MeT official said that mainly dry weather was expected till March 12.
