Night temps drop below zero

Srinagar, Nov 26: Due to clear night sky, the minimum temperatures dropped below the freezing point at most places in the Kashmir valley with day temperate remaining above normal.
Minimum temperatures after showing improvement across Kashmir yesterday, today dropped again below the freezing point.
A MeT department official said:”Due to clear night sky, the minimum temperatures have again dropped below the freezing point at most places in the Kashmir valley. The weather is likely to remain mainly dry in the State during the next 24 hours.”
Gulmarg recorded a low of minus 3.6 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal while the day temperature of the ski resort settled at 6.5 degrees Celsius.
Pahalgam registered the minimum of minus 1.2 degree Celsius, while day temperature of the place settled at 11.9 degrees Celsius.
Srinagar recorded the minimum temperature of minus 0.2 degrees Celsius, while day temperature was 15 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal.
Qazigund in South Kashmir recorded at low of minus 0.4 degree Celsius while day temperature was 14.5 degrees Celsius.
Kokernag in South Kashmir recorded at low of 1.8 degree Celsius while day temperature settled at 13.8 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal.
Kupwara in North Kashmir recorded at low of minus 1.5 degree Celsius while day temperature was 13.6 degrees Celsius.
Leh at minus 10.6 degrees Celsius was the coldest in the state while the day temperature of the place settled at 8.6 degrees Celsius.
Kargil recorded at low of minus 4.6 degree Celsius while day temperature settled at 11 degrees Celsius.
