JAMMU, July 13 : National Investigation Agency (NIA) today carried out raids at multiple places in South Kashmir in connection with the Sunjwan encounter case of April this year.
The NIA sleuths with the assistance of police and paramilitary CRPF personnel carried out the raids in Anantnag district and Awantipora area of Pulwama district.
The NIA in a statement said that it conducted searches at three locations in Kashmir- one in Pulwama district and two in Anantnag district in the case of indiscriminate firing upon the security personnel on 22.04.2022 during a joint search operation in the area of Sunjwan, Jammu by terrorists in which one ASI of CISF was martyred and several others got injured.
The searches today led to recovery of different type of incriminating materials.
