GAYA : A team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) and National Security Guard(NSG) have started a thorough investigation into the nine low intensity serial bomb blasts that rocked Mahabodhi temple premises at Bodhgaya in Gaya district.
Police said today that a team of NIA and NSG reached Gaya yesterday and taken samples from the place of explosion in Mahabodhi temple premises.
“Teams of both the premier investigative agencies visited the temple premises again today and carried out further investigation to ascertain the link of terrorist outfit in serial blast,” police added.
Meanwhile, DGP Abhayanand said the explosion was engineered with the materials capable of causing high and low intensity explosion. Samples collected from the spot would be tested by forensic expert for assessment of details about the serial blasts which would give clue about those responsible for the incident.
Mr Abhayanand said security arrangement in and around the temple premises had been further tightened. Jawans of Special Task Force(STF) had been deployed for security in the temple premises, he added.
“All important temples and religious structures have been placed under security cover after the serial blasts at Bodhgaya,” he said, adding that all district police superintendents had been directed to take steps for security of vital installations in their areas.
