NHPC organizes workshop on ‘Long Term Development’

KATRA, July 4: NHPC Salal Power Station organized a two-day workshop on ‘Long Term Development’ under its corporate social responsibility scheme, here today.
The workshop was inaugurated by Regional Director, NHPC, Sanjay Kalgaonkar, Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Chief Manager, Salal Power Station, AG Ansari, Director, DPE, Government of India, Umesh Dongre and District Forest Officer, Mr Nadim, by lighting the traditional lamp.
Chiefs of Education, Health, Forest and Employment Departments of Reasi district, besides chiefs of NHPC’s power stations of Jammu region, Nigam headquarters, officials of CSRSD of Faridabad and the officials of all power stations related to CSR work, were present to participate in the workshop.
The purpose of the workshop is to work for the social development of the region and the Nation in coordination with the local people, under CSR-SD scheme.
During the 1st day of workshop, today, doubts on the policies and directives of CSR were discussed in length with the subject specialists including Umesh Dongre, Director DPE, Government of India, Ujawala Shinde, KK Sharma and scientist Mr Pagori.
Earlier speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Kalgaonkar explained the achievements of NHPC through CSR-SD scheme in the State.
Shahid Iqbal in his address, assured to work for the development of the Reasi district in coordination with NHPC. He appreciated the work done by the NHPC in the field of Education, Health and development works in Reasi.
