NHPC organizes Hindi ‘Kavi Sammelan’

JAMMU, Feb 24: NHPC Limited organized a grand Hindi ‘Kavi Sammelan’ at NHPC Office Complex Faridabad, today, to promote ‘Rajbhasha’ throughout the Company.
The Kavi Sammelan was inaugurated at Jal Tarang Auditorium by A K Singh, CMD, NHPC by lighting of traditional lamp. Y K Chaubey, Director (Technical), R P Goyal, Director (Finance), Biswajit Basu, Director (Projects) and A K Srivastava, Chief Vigilance Officer and other officers and officials, besides Sudha Singh (president, NHPC ladies welfare association) along with other members were also present during the Kavi Sammelan.
The programme started with Saraswati Vandana by poetess Anamika Amber. Thereafter, renowned poets of humour and satire, Dinesh Diggaj, Sarvesh Asthana and Pawan Aagri, enthralled the audience with their humorous and satirical poems. Anamika Amber, well-known satirical poet, Dr Praveen Shukla and finally the poet/lyricist of human sensibilities, Dinesh Raghuvanshi, enthralled the audience with their splendid poetic presentations.
The CMD NHPC while addressing NHPC employees posted across its remotely projects, power stations and offices including NHPC Corporate Office through web casting, highlighted NHPC’s main achievements in the last two years. He further said that NHPC is steadily moving towards reaching its target of becoming a 50,000 MW company as set by R K Singh, Union Minister of Power, New and Renewable Energy.
On the occasion, the new logo of NHPC Limited was also launched by the CMD, NHPC. A special booklet showcasing NHPC’s achievements and significant developments over the last two years was also released during the Kavi Sammelan.
