‘Devise plan to collect power dues’

JAMMU, Feb 24: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Pawan Singh of Ward 23 has urged upon the JKPDCL to not cut power connections, domestic as well as commercial, of consumers having pending dues of power bills as people suffered badly due to COVID-19 triggered lockdown.
Addressing a press conference here today, Councillor Singh asked the JKPDCL to make a plan to take the pending power dues in phased manner in monthly instalments after waiving interests and surcharges.
He urged upon Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor to provide free electricity to BPL, EWS, widows, orphans, physically challenged persons and other such people to justify BJP’s slogan of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’.
