JAMMU, Oct 12: NHPC Limited observed RTI Week from October 5 to October 12 at its Regional Office, here.
Various competitions on RTI Act were organized during the week long celebrations in which employees & officers participated in large numbers.
On the closing ceremony of RTI week, Om Prakash, Executive Director, NHPC Limited Jammu, while addressing the employees said that Right to Information has been recognized as a fundamental right, under which everyone has been given the right to know how government works, its role, its functions etc.
He advised the employees to use RTI very judiciously and in its right perspective. Executive Director distributed prizes to the winners of the various competitions like essay writing and slogan writing on RTI. The function concluded with vote of thanks by John.A.U.Beck, Assistant Public Information Officer.
