KISHTWAR, June 3: An employee of NHPC got injured after being hit by a Maruti car in NHPC Colony here.
As per police sources, NHPC employee identified as Balwant Singh, son of Gurbaksh Singh of Pouni, district Reasi got injured after being hit by a Maruti car bearing registration number DL2CR-0296 driven by another NHPC employee Dil Mohammad, son of Ghulam Mohammad of district Udhampur.
After getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to District Hospital, where his leg was amputated owing to multiple fratures.
DySP Headquarters Tausif, SHO Kishtwar Sameer and NHPC officers rushed to District Hospital and facilitated quick shifting of the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for advanced treatment.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested.
A case in this regard has been registered at Kishtwar police station and investigation started.
